Performance Analysis of Electrical vehicle using model based approach
While the transportation industry is in the state of rapid evaluation due to Electric Vehicle (EV) technology, it is necessary to ensure its performance, efficient design, cost, safety and reliability for the known reasons. Trade of analysis can be implemented with the help of vehicle system level simulation to reduce product time to market and cost-effective design. EV performance evaluation includes Powertrain and vehicle dynamics where the source, power electronic components, HV loads are modelled and integrated. Modelling can be physics based, or data driven or characteristic based to build Reduced order model (ROM). Developed ROM is used to predict battery state of charge in real time and system performance as well. Components sizing is the key benefit of this study along with the functionality evaluation while performing the system level simulation as per the required duty cycle and vehicle loading.
