Electric Vehicle Charging Scheduling Optimization Considering Charging Urgency
Uncertainty in the charging behavior of large-scale electric vehicle (EV) users can have a significant impact on the safe operation of the power system. In this regard, this paper proposes a coordinated scheduling method for EVs that considers charging urgency. Firstly, the charging behavior of EV users is modelled and a charging urgency indicator is introduced. Then, a coordinated charging scheduling optimization model is established to minimize the overall peak-to-valley load difference and electricity cost. Finally, case studies are conducted under residential and public area charging modes to verify the effectiveness of the model. The simulation results show that under the residential and public area charging modes, the peak-to-valley load difference of the grid is reduced by 79.37% and 38.01%, respectively, with obvious peak shaving and valley filling effects, and the charging cost is reduced by 57.49% and 45.86%, respectively, to improve the overall economic benefits of users.
