Improving the Practical Ability of Students in Vocational Colleges in the Process of Digital Resource Development - A Case Study
This study aimed to bridge the gap in digital materials while fostering hands-on skills among students through collaborative resource creation. Using finite element analysis (FEA), we created visualizations, including stress and deformation models, to support classroom instruction and improve concept comprehension. A teaching experiment was conducted, and survey assessments evaluated both the instructional impact of these resources and students’ skill development. Results indicated substantial improvements in student engagement, clarity in understanding challenging concepts, and overall learning outcomes. Additionally, participation in the resource development process significantly strengthened students' practical skills, application of theoretical knowledge, and teamwork abilities. These findings demonstrate the potential of digital resource integration to modernize vocational mechanics education and better prepare students for industry demands.
