Rapid Simulation and Analysis of Flight Dynamics Based on Modelica
Modelica is an object-oriented programming language that supports equation-based modeling, high automation of differential equation solving, and excellent code organization and reuse. Based on the aforementioned advantages, this paper uses the Modelica programming language to perform dynamic mathematical modeling for a conventional fixed-wing aircraft with T-tail configuration, as well as balancing and linearization processing. The 6-DOF nonlinear simulation results are then compared to the linearization simulation results. The effectiveness of the aircraft dynamics model's linearization procedure, established by calling the Modelica linearization library, is tested. The pitch angle control system is constructed using the PID principle, with the SQP algorithm being used to optimize the PID control parameters. The simulation results are consistent with the optimization demands. To summarize, the use of Modelica language for flight dynamics simulation and analysis is straightforward and successful, and it serves as a guide for practical engineering.
