Research on Modeling and Control Method of the Mode Transition for High-Flow Variable Cycle Engine
This paper focuses on high-flow dual variable cycle engines, conducting aerodynamic simulations on the mode selection valve. By employing an Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) method, a relationship between the geometric parameters and performance parameters of the mode selection valve is established, which is then coupled to the engine performance calculation model to create a high-confidence coupled model. Compared with the traditional zero-dimensional model, the results indicate that the high-confidence coupled model more accurately reflects the performance changes during mode transition. However, thrust fluctuations were observed during the mode transition. To address this issue, a mode transition thrust controller based on nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) was designed. Simulation results show that this controller can ensure stable thrust while maintaining normal engine operation.
