Optimal Scheduling Strategy of Virtual Power Plant Considering Carbon-Green Certificate Trading Mechanism

To achieve carbon neutrality, this study explores the application of a carbon emission trading (CET) and green certificate trading (GCT) trading system in the optimized scheduling of virtual power plants (VPP), proposing a multi-objective strategy that integrates economic benefits with carbon emissions reduction. By aggregating distributed energy resources, VPP can improve efficiency and lower emissions. The model considers costs related to carbon credits, external electricity purchases, and equipment operation, as well as the financial gains from REC transactions. Using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, the approach aims to minimize total operational costs and carbon emissions while adhering to constraints such as power balance and equipment capacity. Simulation results show that this mechanism significantly reduces carbon emissions and enhances economic efficiency.
