The Influence of the Starting Point of the Upper Wall Expansion Region and the Relative Position of the Oblique Detonation Wave on the Combustion Characteristics of the Oblique Detonation
As the power component of the aircraft, the detonation and stagnation of the combustion chamber of the oblique detonation engine must be considered in the design under the condition of limited wedge length in the confined space, and the matching of pressure, temperature and Mach number under specific working conditions should be considered. In this paper, the flow channel surface of the combustion chamber of the oblique detonation engine is designed. Because the ignition delay time of ethylene fuel is longer than that of hydrogen, the flat wedge combustion chamber with finite length fails to realize the initiation of oblique detonation wave. Therefore, a step-S-shaped curved wedge surface structure is designed to accelerate the initiation of oblique detonation wave. The starting position of the expansion zone on the upper wall is the key to the stagnation of the oblique detonation wave in the combustion chamber. This paper mainly studies the influence of the starting position of the expansion zone on the design of the combustion chamber. The upper wall of the combustion chamber of the oblique detonation engine is designed to realize the stagnation of the oblique detonation wave in the combustion chamber.
