Characterization of A Solar Collector-Heat Exchanger for the Regasification of The Working Fluid on Space Vehicles
This research examines the use of a solar collector-heat exchanger to heat a fluid using solar radiation. The design and operational principles are being explored. The influence of meteoric vulnerability and pressure losses on the characteristics of the heat exchanger-collector is noted. The selection of the collector-heat exchanger surface coating material for the regasification system aboard a spaceship is given significant consideration. The properties of collector-heat exchangers are determined for different working fluids utilized in spaceship propulsion systems. The solar heat exchanger-collector must have a minimum surface area that is coated with both silicon and black paint. Their surface area must fall within the range of 0.24 to 0.78 m2. The efficiency is 87%. The mass difference between collectors covered with silicon elements and black paint is ΔM=0.6 kg. The main advantages and disadvantages of these coatings are given.
