Operational Carbon Emission Model and Intelligent Monitoring of Primary and Secondary School
The implementation of campus carbon emission accounting and monitoring serves as the fundamental and crucial for achieving green and low-carbon transformation in the educational domain. This paper takes primary and secondary school campuses as the research subjects. By sorting out the boundaries and scopes of carbon emissions, Sub-item and classification model of operational carbon emissions is proposed. To address the limitations of traditional Internet of Things monitoring systems, such as low reliability, poor flexibility, and high maintenance costs, based on the cloud-edge-end collaborative framework, the system architecture of an artificial Internet of Things monitoring for campus operational carbon emissions is devised. Taking a middle school in the hot summer and cold winter region as an example, the campus operational carbon emissions are calculated based on the emission factor method. The total amount and intensity of carbon emissions are analyzed. Monitoring software is developed to realize the visualization of campus operational carbon emission data. The research outcomes can offer references for the accounting, analysis and monitoring of operational carbon emissions in primary and secondary school campuses.
