Visual Navigation Verification Method for Air-bearing Simulated Satellite

To meet the ground simulation requirements for autonomous navigation tasks of spacecraft, this paper improves a visual relative navigation system and validates it using relevant autonomous navigation scenarios. The system incorporates visual targets as identifiers for the target satellite, utilizing optical sensors to measure and compute relative poses. Accuracy tests demonstrate that the system's yaw angle error is consistently less than 1°. By integrating the visual relative navigation system into the control system of the air-bearing simulated satellite for on-orbit scene verification, the results indicate that the visual relative navigation system exhibits high accuracy, real-time performance, and robustness in complex ground illumination environments and embedded systems with limited computing power. It satisfies the mission requirements of autonomous navigation scenarios in space.
