Analysis of University Students' Willingness to Enlist and Influencing Factors in the Chengdu-Chongqing Area Based on Regression Analysis Models

This paper explores the complexity of college students' propensity to enlist in the military in the Chengdu-Chongqing area. A combination of questionnaire survey and logistic regression analysis was used to conduct the study. Logistic model analysis results showed that the overall probability of college students enlisting in the Chengdu-Chongqing region was 64%. This study systematically distinguished between positive and negative factors affecting college students' decision to enlist in the military. The study found that positive factors, such as motivation, self-efficacy, benefit perception, and trustworthiness, had a positive influence on college students' propensity to enlist in the military, while risk perception was a significant negative influence. The role and extent of these influences can be successfully quantified through coefficient interpretation and dominance ratio calculation. The study provides valuable reference points for policymakers seeking to enhance college students' propensity to enlist.
