Vibration Damping Research on Cable and Fluid Piping System for High-precision Tracking and Pointing Device

In the field of space exploration, a device that can track and point with high accuracy is of significant importance. In addition, the cable and fluid piping system serves as a crucial energy link between these devices and the platform spacecraft. However, under the condition of the launching process and in-orbit operation, vibration phenomena can arise that pose a threat to the stable operation of such precision equipment. In order to overcome this difficulty, the cable and fluid piping system is modeled and simulated using ANSYS finite element software. Modal analysis technology is employed to explore different cable layouts, ultimately revealing the centralized distributed layout as the optimal choice. To improve the system further, an innovative rotary joint is incorporated into the fluid piping, significantly reducing the modal frequency. The simulation result after combining the two approaches shows that the lowest modal frequency of the system is reduced to 3.3874 Hz and the deformation displacement is reduced by 16.1%. The improved system layout design coupled with the introduction of the rotary joint effectively reduces the modal frequency of the cable and fluid piping system, minimizing the risk of resonance and increasing reliability and durability.
