“Exploring Pyridine-Quinoline Hybrids: Efficient Synthesis and Their Promising Antimicrobial Properties”
The main focus of the current research is on the substituted aldehydes that are produced from the reaction of 4-ethoxy acetanilide, DMF, and POCl3. To synthesize a range of substituted quinolinechalcone conjugates, 2-chloro-6-ethoxyquinoline3-carbaldehyde reacts with substituted acetophenone(i-iv), and their nucleolytic activity is evaluated. Afterward, substituted chalcone interacts with glacial acetic acid containing ammonium acetate in the presence of malononitrile and Ethylcyanoacetate. Pyridine is a crucial pharmacophore in drug studies, and a preferred scaffold and an exceptional heterocyclic system that offers numerous options for examining and studying this moiety as an antibacterial and antifungal agent by targeting several crucial receptors. In addition, pyridine derivatives have been produced by sealing the chalcone ring
