Research on the Application of Semi-airborne Transient Electromagnetic Method in a Region of Xinjiang
Summary Due to terrain constraints, conventional geophysical survey methods face significant challenges in complex geological conditions. The semi-airborne electromagnetic method combines the advantages of the high signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio inherent in the ground electromagnetic method with the non-contact and high-efficiency characteristics of the airborne electromagnetic method. So it is particularly suitable for addressing exploration challenges in complex geological conditions. To overcome the limitations of conventional geophysical exploration within complex geological conditions, a semi-airborne transient electromagnetic survey was conducted at a test site in Xinjiang. After comparing with the existing geological data, it is confirmed that the method can safely, efficiently, environmentally and economically detect complex geological structures, showing its great research value.
