AN ANALYTICAL STUDY ON AWARENESS LEVEL OF CITIZENS ABOUT INCOME TAX RETURN FILING IN NOIDA

This study investigates the awareness and understanding among citizens of Noida regarding income tax return (ITR) filing. It aims to assess how demographic factors like age, occupation, education, and income level influence the awareness and practices related to income tax compliance. The research primarily uses a descriptive methodology, collecting primary data through a structured questionnaire from a sample of 50 respondents over three months. Secondary data is also referenced from various academic and official sources. The questionnaire covered knowledge of tax slabs, understanding of tax calculations, awareness of e-filing, and preferences between the old and new tax regimes.
