A Reflection Coefficient Formula for Arbitrary Weak Anisotropy Characterized by the A Parameter

Summary Based on the weak anisotropy assumption, this study introduces a reflection coefficient approximation formula suitable for arbitrary weakly anisotropic media. The newly proposed anisotropic formula is characterized using the anisotropy A parameter. In this paper, we conduct an AVAZ inversion test on the newly introduced anisotropic formula by evaluating its inversion performance under different azimuth angles in ISO/TTI models. Experimental results indicate that the proposed arbitrary weak anisotropy reflection coefficient approximation formula can reliably estimate the anisotropy A parameter from precisely synthesized seismic records, offering theoretical significance.
