Organophosphorus Poisoning and Parkinsonism -A Case Report
A BSTRACT Chlorpyrifos, a commonly used organophosphate pesticide, often leads to severe poisoning, especially in rural India. We present a case of acute chlorpyrifos poisoning in an elderly Parkinson’s patient on anticholinergic trihexyphenidyl therapy. This case highlights the impact of anticholinergic medications on the clinical features and response to treatment in organophosphate poisoning, emphasizing the benefits of management for such patients.
