Penalties imposed on drivers driving motor vehicles after consuming alcohol and/or drugs or driven by disqualified drivers
The author presents the legal basis and penalties applicable to traffic offences committed by persons driving without a licence and by drivers driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He also analyses the provisions of the Criminal Code defining offences with the most severe penalties – causing a disaster in land, water, or air traffic, endangering the life or health of many people, or the property of significant value, including offences resulting in the death of a person or serious harm to the health of many people. The study provides detailed information on the penalties for various offences, with a particular focus on the forfeiture of motor vehicles.
