AS PRINCIPAIS INDICAÇÕES PARA USO DE PALMILHAS ORTOPÉDICAS: UM OLHAR PARA A REABILITAÇÃO
This study aimed to investigate the main indications for the use of orthopedic insoles from a rehabilitative perspective, analyzing the clinical and postural profiles of patients treated at a specialized company. This is an observational, exploratory study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, based on the analysis of postural evaluation forms and clinical reports of adult patients who used insoles prescribed or recommended by physiotherapy professionals. The analyzed data included variables such as age, sex, weight, height, foot type, reported pain, and biomechanical diagnoses such as flatfoot, high-arched foot, pelvic asymmetry, calcaneal valgus, and pelvic anteversion. Based on the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the association between diagnoses and reported complaints, a significant prevalence of grade 1 flatfoot was observed, followed by pelvic anteversion and posterior tibial insufficiency. The main complaints involved pain in the feet, ankles, knees, and lower back, often related to postural alterations and biomechanical overload. The results confirm the importance of orthopedic insoles as an effective therapeutic resource for pain relief, correction of postural misalignments, and improvement of functionality. The scientific literature supports these findings, highlighting the role of insoles in physical rehabilitation. It is concluded that the proper indication, based on thorough evaluation, is essential for the success of orthopedic insole treatment, especially in populations with overweight, structural changes, and biomechanical dysfunctions.
