Dopuszczalność zarządzenia przerwy w posiedzeniu komisji sejmowej w trakcie zarządzonego głosowania

The possibility of adjourning a committee sitting is not explicitly provided for in the Standing Orders of the Sejm. However, the adjournment of a sitting of the committee by the presiding chairman during a vote in progress, if it is not related to circumstances which may directly prevent the completion of the voting procedure, constitutes an unacceptable – in the light of the provisions of the Standing Orders of the Sejm and established parliamentary practice – procedural irregularity. If, in the course of a vote, circumstances arise which may actually affect the possibility of completing the voting procedure, such as a failure of the electronic voting system or misleading of the committee members during the call to vote, it should be considered acceptable to interrupt the procedure and cancel it at the same time.
