Optimising flight training complex commercial activity: business modelling approach

This study aims to develop and optimise a business model to enhance the commercial efficiency of flight training complexes (FTCs) amid growing competition in the aviation training market. Using the business model canvas methodology, the research examines the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Flight Training Centre. A mixed-methods approach integrates empirical techniques - observation, comparative analysis, and modelling - with theoretical methodologies such as analysis, synthesis, and systems analysis. The analysis identifies key challenges, including limited customer orientation and insufficient technological integration. The proposed business model enhances customer engagement, strengthens market resilience, and optimises internal processes. A structured system for strategic implementation includes targeted initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs). The study contributes to the theoretical discourse on business modelling for FTCs, addressing inefficiencies and proposing a refined framework. Its findings provide valuable insights for industry stakeholders, advancing knowledge in aviation training management and commercial strategy.
