Biometric Assisted e - Health Record for Patients linking Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and Hospitals

The Biometric Assisted e-Health Record System is to help PHCs and hospitals collaborate better. The proposed system uses biometric identification for a uniform, safe, and accessible platform for managing patient health information. The system intends to enhance healthcare delivery by setting up seamless access to patient data from anywhere through the linking of PHCs and hospitals. By using facial recognition technology for biometric authentication, the risk of theft and data breach is minimized by locking the patient's medical files and making them access controlled to only the person holding the authorized ID of their face. The information would also be easily shared as well as updated in real time across PHCs and Hospitals; this improves the patients' outcome and reduces delays associated with treatment. The paper has also included a review on security measures for the system, together with how that affects access to health services in particular in the more deprived or rural regions. In light of the preceding discussions, it would suffice to say that an electronic health record system aided with biometric features could boost both accuracy and efficiency in caring for the patient, which eventually translates into a responsive, integrated, and therefore excellent healthcare system.
