Digital Curation of Traditional Culture Based on VR and AI Interactive Technology: Taking Art into Schools as an Example
This paper explores the innovative use of digital curation, specifically through virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI), in preserving and promoting traditional cultural heritage within school curricula. By integrating these technologies, educators and students can engage more deeply with traditional art forms, enhancing cultural understanding and appreciation. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) based on the PRISMA guidelines, this study analyses existing research on the application of digital tools in cultural preservation. The findings indicate that VR and AI increase immersion and interaction, making cultural education more accessible and engaging. Key trends, opportunities, and challenges in deploying these technologies in educational settings are highlighted, alongside gaps in current research and recommendations for future studies. The paper underscores the necessity of adopting digital technologies in education to preserve cultural heritage and foster critical thinking and creativity among students. By bridging traditional cultural practices with modern educational contexts, VR and AI offer significant potential to enrich cultural learning.
