The Impact of Aerial Vehicle Quantity and Battery Capacity on Task Route Planning in Multi-Hybrid Systems
In this study, the Multi-Drone-Assisted Vehicle Routing Problem (MDAVRP) algorithm, which incorporates the use of multiple drones, was tested under different task scenarios and varying parameters. The performance of the algorithm was evaluated in one, two, and three drone scenarios in terms of both computation times and task duration improvements. The numerical parameters utilized in the study and the problem-solving strategies were detailed. The solution efficiency of MDAVRP was analyzed by comparing it with the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) algorithm, and the effects of an increasing number of drones on task durations were examined. Additionally, the impact of factors such as drone utilization rates and battery life on system performance was comprehensively addressed. The results demonstrate that the increase in the number of drones reduces efficiency beyond a certain point and that battery life optimization can mitigate this effect.
