FLEXURAL BEHAVIOR OF RC BEAM WITH HIGH-PERFORMANCE CONCRETE SUBJECTED TO CYCLIC LOADING

The flexural behavior of high-performance concrete (HPC) is influenced by various parameters and plays a crucial role in concrete strength. This study aims to decipher the effects of cyclic loading on HPC reinforced with Glass Fibers. We conducted the study by casting beams with Steel and Glass Fiber reinforced concrete of grade (M40) and using admixtures (Silica fume and Fly ash). The cast beams were examined for compressive strength, tensile strength, and flexural strength under cyclic loading. The findings indicate a significant increase in the compressive strength of HPC mixed with 0.5% Glass Fiber. The flexural strength was comparatively higher (up to 15% for all grades) for HPC mixed with 1% Glass Fiber.Additionally, direct tensile strength was found to be greater than split tensile strength.
