Renewable Energy Based Hybrid Multilevel Inverter and Safe EV Charging System Using Isolated Flyback Converter
The proposed paper gives support to the grid and efficient electric vehicle charging via a hybrid system that involves renewable energy-based multilevel inverter and isolated flyback converter. In this paper, photovoltaic solar energy is tapped from a photovoltaic panel panel by employing Maximum Power Point Tracking by making use of the Perturb and Observe algorithm. This energy is regulated through an isolated flyback converter to ensure the proper charging of the electric vehicle's battery in a secure and efficient way. Apart from that, a multilevel three-leg inverter is employed to convert DC power to the high-quality three-phase output AC with minimum harmonic distortion and maximum stability of grid. Supporting the bidirectional energy flow, surplus energy is provided to the grid during peak solar generation or drawn from the grid for electric vehicle charging. The simulation demonstrates high MPPT efficiency for safety and reliability in electric vehicle charging along with the improvement of grid interaction. The multi-energy system promotes the use of sustainable energy integration into both transportation and power grids towards a cleaner energy future.
