Analyzing Consumer Preferences to Determine the Leading Online Shopping Platform
This study compares Amazon and Flipkart to identify the most preferred online shopping site among consumers in Coimbatore. Based on survey data from 100 respondents aged 18–60, Amazon emerged as the favoured platform across most attributes, including customer service, product range, and delivery. However, Flipkart outperformed Amazon in offering detailed product filters.Chi-square analysis indicates that age and income do not significantly influence platform preferences, although younger demographics (18–25) are more inclined toward online shopping. Product-specific trends reveal a preference for mobiles and electronics on both platforms, with Flipkart leading slightly in these categories.
