Design of Cloud Computing System for Optimized Power Electricity Consumption in Office Buildings
In an era of increasing energy demands and the need for sustainable practices, this project presents the design and implementation of a cloud-based system to optimize electricity consumption in office buildings. The system integrates an Arduino Uno microcontroller, leveraging an LDR sensor to monitor light intensity, an SHT21 sensor for temperature and humidity readings, and an air quality sensor to measure indoor environmental conditions. The 8-channel relay module controls electrical devices based on sensor readings and user-defined thresholds, ensuring optimal energy usage. Connectivity to the cloud is established using the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, facilitating remote monitoring and control via the RemoteXY platform. This system enhances energy efficiency and provides real-time insights and automation capabilities, paving the way for smarter and greener office environments. The proposed system monitors the light intensity. Then it makes the decisions how many lamps will operate at that moment and do the same thing for the cooling and heating devices, also for air quality checks if there is any gas, make the fan work to reduce the effectiveness of the gas until the percentage of the gas be in the acceptable range; finally, the humidity has been checked by the SHT21 sensor. If the sensor's reading is over, the fan will operate until the humidity is normal.By this process, the electrical energy load will be reduced, and at the same time, the work environment will be enhanced. The proposed system uses the IOT principle to monitor the building anywhere. In addition to a monitor on the operating device, we can control the devices at the same time.
