Automated Leaf Disease Identification and Pest Detection for Precision Farming – A Study
Traditional farming methods like identifying diseases by naked eyes and spraying manually are all cumbersome processes. This study presents a review on the implementation of modern technologies in precision farming, focusing on automated leaf disease identification and pest detection. This paper highlights the application of AI, and image processing techniques for efficient disease and pest management. It elaborates on GPS, remote sensing technologies, and classification algorithms, including K-nearest neighbor, radial basis function, probabilistic neural networks, and Support Vector Machine. By automating disease and pest detection, precision farming can reduce chemical usage and improve crop yield.
