Protection of 3D Models by QIM Watermarking with Reduced Distortion

This paper explores methods for protecting 3D data stored in the STL format using watermarks. Algorithms based on the QIM family are analyzed as embedding methods. The feasibility of extracting watermarks with absolute accuracy is evaluated, and these methods are compared based on the level of introduced distortions. The evaluation metrics include Mean Squared Error (MSE), the Jaccard index.

Abstract

This paper explores methods for protecting 3D data stored in the STL format using watermarks. Algorithms based on the QIM family are analyzed as embedding methods. The feasibility of extracting watermarks with absolute accuracy is evaluated, and these methods are compared based on the level of introduced distortions. The evaluation metrics include Mean Squared Error (MSE), the Jaccard index.
