Performance Evaluation of FLC Based Shunt Active Filter for Harmonic Suppression
Industrial sectors rely on sensitive and regulated electrical and electronic equipment to meet their technical demands and application-specific criteria. Due to their inherent characteristics, nonlinear devices contribute significantly to declining electrical power quality. Owing to their detrimental effects on the overall power system network, harmonics, one amongst many PQ disturbances that significantly contribute to waveform distortion, have drawn researchers' attention. Suppressing harmonics has been the main emphasis in this situation. In order to reduce power network current harmonics, this study assesses the efficacy of a shunt active filter. The effectiveness of Type 1 fuzzy-supervised PI controllers and conventional PI controllers for regulating DC link capacitor voltage in SAPF is examined in study. Simulation studies are performed using MATLAB/ Simulink.
