Information Geometry-Based Discrimination of Physical Target and Active False Targets in a Multistatic Radar System

On the basis of multistatic radar system, this paper proposes a data level anti-jamming method based on Information Geometry (IG). According to the spatial correlation of the motion state of the physical target and the active false target, the position and velocity information of the physical target are obtained by bistatic radar detection. On this basis, active false and physical targets are discriminated by repeatedly obtaining point traces on the matrix manifold. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed information geometry-based method does not require any a priori information, can keep the discrimination probability of physical targets constant, effectively identify false targets, and can improve performance by increasing the number of samples. Simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the discrimination method. In addition, the method can be combined with the location information-based method, which enhances the discriminative ability of joint range-velocity deception of false targets.
