Disputas de narrativas entre meios de comunicação de massa x plataformas digitais: quem tem poder - e credibilidade - quando o assunto é regulação?

From the current context of media convergence and a platformization of society in which mass media and new social actors coexist in the digital spectrum, the objective of the present work is to identify the power relations established between mass media and big techs, technology companies that dominate the algorithms of this new digital environment, as well as the notion of credibility that is established in this scenario. To this end, we will use as a methodology the Audiovisual Materiality Analysis, chosen because it allows us to evaluate audiovisual content in a unitary way and without decomposition. We will take audiovisual products as our object, through the selection of six materials best ranked by Google, three from the search "media regulation in Brazil" and another three through the search for "regulation of digital platforms in Brazil". The preliminary results point to a diversity of digital narratives, as well as different positions on the regulation of the media and digital platforms, but without credibility being at the center of this discussion.
