Proposta de uma Agenda de Pesquisa para a cobertura das Big Tech a partir das bases do Jornalismo Investigativo
This bibliographic and documentary study maps the production of the Research Seminar in Investigative Journalism of the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji), from 2014 to 2024, to identify convergences with recent studies of journalistic coverage of platformization – a phenomenon explained by society's high dependence on Big Tech. Platform Beat or coverage of platforms has potential as an area of specialized watchdog journalism, challenging structural and financial dependencies and a certain tradition of investigative reporting in Brazil, which can look beyond the public sector, corruption and crime. The research discusses Platform Beat from the point of view of conceptual aspects, the experimentation of new and interdisciplinary digital methods, training, regulation, sources, and diversity.
