IMPROVING CHILDREN'S COGNITIVE ABILITIES AND INTRODUCING GEOMETRIC SHAPES WITH A COMBINATION OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELS, EXAMPLE NON-EXAMPLE WITH CONSTRUCTIVE GAME METHOD IN GROUP A

The purpose of this study was to describe teacher activities, analyze children's activities, and the achievement of children's cognitive development results, especially in recognizing geometric shapes. This study used a qualitative approach and the type of research was Classroom Action (CAR) with 3 meetings. The subjects of this study were 10 children in Group A at the Al-Aman PKK Kindergarten. The data collection technique was observation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis using tables and graphs. The research instrument was an observation sheet of teacher activities, children's activities and children's development achievements. The results of the study showed that the 3 meetings of teacher activities had reached the criteria of "Very Good". Children's activities classically reached the criteria of "All Children Are Active" at meeting 3 and the results of children's cognitive development classically reached the criteria of BSB and BSH at meeting 3. It is recommended to use a combination of problem-based learning, example non-example models with constructive game methods. Can be used as a reference for further research in improving the use of learning models and activities and the results of children's cognitive development.
