A dura busca franciscana pelo “cuidado da casa comum”
The climate crisis constitutes perhaps the greatest planetary challenge, something that concerns different social segments, including the Catholicism that Pope Francis led. Catholic theologian Leonardo Boff also has relevant contributions in the area. Derived from a papal call and with Boff as an important reference, a network called the Brazilian Articulation for the Economy of Francisco and Clara was formed in Brazil, marked by activism in favor of an inclusive and environmentally friendly economy. The article, produced from a systematic bibliographical consultation and fieldwork, discusses the trajectory of these social actors who are significantly based in São Francisco de Assis and seek to achieve a combination of socioeconomic and environmental balance.
