La transexualidad en el discurso neopentecostal
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the religious conversion narration for the identification of the symbolic referents and the moral dispositions about transsexuality in the neopentecostal discourse. The theoretical reference proposed connects language to power and understands gender as an active process that articulates multiple aspects of social life, such as the religious experience stands out. A case study was developed by performing a semantic content analysis. It is concluded that the analyzed neopentecostal conversion process, based on gender change, constitutes an example of experience transmitted through the narrative with the purpose of giving meaning to life, based on references accepted by religious collectives as a constant way of granting meaning through the act of naming and making visible the references associated with the negative character of the exercise of an alternative sexuality.
