Improving massage abilities for visually disabled people through Circulo massage training

Circulo massage is a type of massage with its mainstay technique, namely friction, which aims to recover the body from fatigue. People with visual disabilities are individuals who have partial or total visual impairment and have maximum visual acuity. For those with impaired sense of sight, it is often used as a comparison to other senses, one of which is the sense of touch. Massage that can rely on the sense of touch is one of the skills that needs to be taught to the visually impaired both for self-mastery and to cover financial needs. The aim of this research is to improve the massage skills of people with visual disabilities. The research method used in this research is the action research method. The research subjects consisted of 25 training participants. The Action Research model used was developed by Kurt Lewis, consisting of four main steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. The results of the research show that after going through 3 cycles it can be concluded that the way to improve massage skills for people with visual disabilities is to use singing to transfer theory and feel massage techniques on their bodies to transfer skills.
