Depigmentation of gingiva using diode laser: A case report
This case report represents a clinical case of gingival depigmentation by means of a diode laser to improve gingival pigmentation and aesthetics. The patient’s complaint was about darkened gums in the upper front teeth region. Laser treatment was used to reduce pigmented tissue. After one month it showed a healthy gingiva with no signs of melanin repigmentation. The outcome of the current case suggested that diode laser treatment is a harmless and effective option for gum depigmentation, with minimal discomfort and favourable aesthetic results.
