A Study on the Uyghur Translation of Chinese Passive Sentences

The purpose of this study is to explore the non-fixed correspondence between Chinese passive sentences and Uygur passive voices. Chinese passive sentences can be subdivided into marked passive sentences and unmarked passive sentences with various forms; Uighur mainly expresses the passive voice through the morphological changes of verbs, and it is used frequently. There are significant differences in expression and usage habits between them, which poses a challenge to translation practice. When translating Chinese passive sentences into Uyghur, it is necessary to judge whether they should be translated into passive according to the specific context and sentence form. This study aims to provide theoretical support for Chinese-Uyghur translation and promote communication and understanding between the two languages.
