THE IMPACT OF HOUSEHOLD POLYMER WASTE ON THE ENVIRONMENT: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
The article examines the impact of household polymer waste on the environment, focusing on the key problems associated with their accumulation and decomposition. Negative environmental impacts such as soil and water pollution, as well as threats to biodiversity, are discussed. The paper also presents possible solutions, including recycling methods, reducing the use of plastic materials and the introduction of alternative packaging. Attention is paid to the importance of educating the public and developing an effective waste management policy to minimize the negative impact on nature. Household polymer waste, including plastic packaging, bottles and disposable plastic products, is a serious environmental problem. They accumulate in landfills, pollute reservoirs and negatively affect flora and fauna. The synergy of the efforts of the state, business and society is necessary to create a sustainable future free of plastic pollution.
