El sacerdocio de Cristo en Hebreos: según la carne y la sangre, no según los ángeles

This article investigates the parallel between the “priestly Christology” of the Letter to the Hebrews and the “spiritual priesthood” attributed to angels especially in intertestamental literature. In the light of a remarkable accumulation of allusions it is possible to affirm that Hebrews is aware of this angeology and presents the ministry of Christ in a different way, without conforming to the style of the heavenly beings. The novelty comes because the Son assumes an unprecedented fraternity with men, forbidden to the angels, and because he suffers in his body. From this observation will follow certain consequences for the Eucharist and for the ordained ministry.
