COMPREHENSIVE ELECTROMECHANICAL MODELING OF FORCE PROPERTIES OF MAGNETIC PASSIVE BEARINGS CONTAINING MAGNETIC CORE

This paper describes an analytical approach to modeling magnetostatic interactions in magnetic passive bearings by the method of magnetic equivalent circuits. In order to expand the scope of this method and improve accuracy, it is proposed to combine it with an experimental modeling method in an electrically conductive medium. When conducting experimental modeling, small cylindrical sectors are used, the main dimensions of which are similar to the dimensions of the original magnetic circuit. The electrolytic bath is installed with an inclination at an angle equal to the angle of the cylindrical sector to comply with boundary conditions. A specific example of modeling the load-bearing capacity of a magnetic bearing with magnets and magnetic conductors by the described method is given. The results of the combined simulation are in good agreement with the experimental data. Due to its simplicity, clarity and relatively high accuracy, the combined method can be used for estimated calculations of magnetosilic properties and the selection of optimal design solutions for various permanent magnet mechanisms.
