PureSense: A Reliable and Cost-Effective Device for Residual Chlorine & Silver Monitoring with Online Maintenance Support

Millions of people worldwide struggle to access clean drinking water, putting their health at serious risk due to water contamination. Such toxic substances as excess chlorine and silver ions are very dangerous and it is crucial to detect them at an early stage. The proposed system is put in place to solve this issue by monitoring the quality of water and notifying the users in case of contamination. Although there are traditional ways of water testing, they are rather inaccurate, time-consuming, and not always accessible in rural areas. To overcome this, our system ensures real-time monitoring and alerts through a cloud-connected system that enables authorities to take swift action. It is battery powered, can be carried around, and works effectively in both the urban and rural areas. Thus, the system includes detection, analysis, and notification of the user about unsafe water which enhances public health, ensuring safe drinking water without requiring manual intervention, ultimately reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.
