Lander Vector Icon Embedded Metamaterial Absorber for 5G and C Band Applications

A metamaterial (MTM) absorber with a distinctive form and a subwavelengthsized, high effective medium ratio (EMR=λ/L) of 7.14 is presented, exhibiting single negative MTM characteristics with polarization insensitivity up to 180 degrees, suitable for 5G applications and Star-link receivers. We get absorption rates of 98.3%, 90.4%, 97.6%, and 99.3% at frequencies of 3.554 GHz, 4.67 GHz, 7 GHz, and 7.172 GHz, respectively, with EMR calculated based on a reference frequency of 3.554 GHz, with the refractive index exhibiting negative values and permittivity and permeability demonstrating near-zero and negative characteristics. The absorber's dimensions, 0.14λ × 0.14λ, are not just theoretical. They make the absorber small and suitable for practical sensing applications. Future research may expand to examine nonlinear and quantum metamaterial absorbers, enabling an investigation into using nonlinear material properties to manipulate absorption characteristics.
