Augmented Reality for Children on Autism Spectrum
Augmented Reality (AR) technology presents novel opportunities for supporting therapeutic interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This paper explores the application of AR in enhancing social skills, communication abilities, and cognitive development in children with ASD. Through the development and evaluation of AR applications tailored to these needs, we assess their effectiveness and usability. Our findings suggest that AR can significantly improve engagement and skill acquisition, though challenges related to accessibility and content customization remain. This study contributes to the understanding of AR's potential in autism therapy and provides recommendations for future research and application development.
