Automated Garbage Monitoring, Intruder Detection and Toxic Gas Emission System to Manage SGDS
Garbage and waste management system is an evident and assented field of research to accelerate the reduction of climate change, establishing smart clean city and safe sustainable environment. Microcontroller based garbage monitoring, collection and intruder detection is a smart solution which integrates sensors to periodically detect the level of garbage in the bin, noxious gases, intruder attacks and emission of the germ-killing chemicals. The key objective of this research project is to improvise the waste management system by obtaining real-time data through monitoring the overall status of the Secondary Garbage Dumping Stations (SGDS) to optimize waste collection schedules, mitigation of operational costs, scattered filths due to animal or, any intruder attack, toxic gases and amelioration of the overall cleanliness of a city. Additionally, the proposed system will examine the potential benefits and challenges of implementing the prototype in Dhaka city. Finally, this research will focus on the outcomes and feasibility of adopting such technologies to attain the goals of sustainable development.
