Development of Weather Monitoring Drone for Agriculture Purpose

The weather conditions play a vital role in the agriculture by affecting crop productivity which economically affects the agricultural sector. Due to increase in the global warming, there are microclimate changes, which make it impossible for farmers to predict the weather trends accurately and makes hard for them to predict the right time for sowing seeds, spraying fertilizers, and irrigation for crops. Doing agricultural activities in bad weather conditions results in overall decrease in crop productivity. Metrological stations only provide data around that specific point, which limits their effectiveness in monitoring diverse environmental conditions across wider regions. An IoT (Internet of things) integrated weather monitoring drone can cover vast areas by flying over agricultural fields and terrains, allowing them to gather weather data from multiple locations. They can access weather parameters, especially in remote or inaccessible areas.
