Wifi - Controlled Data Logger for Food Safety
The Adaptive Software System developed aims to address India's significant food waste issue, with an estimated 40% of produced food going to waste annually. Built on the Arduino UNO platform, the system integrates five sensors to detect various indicators of food spoilage, including ethanol levels, harmful gases (such as Ammonia, Sulphur, Benzene, and CO2), pH, temperature, and humidity. Utilizing the ESP8266 Wi-Fi Modem, the device connects to the internet for remote data transmission and also displays information locally on an LCD screen. Data is logged and monitored using the IoT platform, enabling real time analysis and visualization. Wi -Fi communication further allows for immediate risk assessment, while machine learning algorithms predict food quality based on collected data. By providing continuous monitoring and timely alerts, this Wi-Fi- controlled data logger device contributes to maintaining food safety, quality, and reducing wastage.
