Elevating Government Schemes: Enhancing Supply Chain Management with Blockchain

Governments worldwide have implemented subsi-dized supply chain distribution to support beneficiaries, yet traditional systems suffer from inefficiencies, leakages, and a lack of transparency. This paper presents an innovative approach that integrates blockchain technology with barcode scanning to enhance traceability and security in government distribution schemes. To ensure data integrity and real-time visibility, the suggested solution records every step of the supply chain using a decentralized, immutable blockchain ledger. The barcode technology enables seamless product authentication and tracking, allowing stakeholders-including beneficiaries, distributors, manufacturers, and government authorities-to monitor goods at every stage. By eliminating intermediaries, the system reduces corruption risks while improving efficiency through automated smart contracts. By providing a transparent and auditable history of transactions, this method guarantees that stakeholders and end beneficiaries have access to a synchronized and verifiable ledger. Stakeholders, including distributors, warehouse managers, and government authorities, utilize barcode scanning to update product status in real time, ensuring accurate tracking and reducing discrepancies. By integrating blockchain and barcode technology, the proposed solution enhances trust, prevents fraud, and strengthens the overall efficiency of subsidized supply chain management.
